Cologne Christmas Market

The Cologne Christmas Market brings an evocative German Christmas feeling to London’s Southbank Centre. From 19 November to 23 December 2010 the area between the London Eye and the Royal Festival Hall turns into a festive promenade for the young and the young-at-heart.

Experience up to 60 traditionally decorated wooden chalets with beautiful lights selling a wide range of unique hand-crafted gifts and unusual Christmas presents. Toys made of wood, delicate glass Christmas tree ornaments, candles and many more Christmas products are offered in this magical winter atmosphere. Sip a warming glühwein (German mulled wine), enjoy a famous German Bratwurst or indulge yourself with roasted nuts, gingerbread hearts, and many other delicious treats. Younger visitors can ride the carousel whilst parents relax, listening to traditional Christmas music.
